During the height of the Afghan and Iraqi wars we got a large snowfall in Madison. The school custodian, at the Henry David Thorerau Elementary School, went up on the roof and carved out a large peace sign. This peace sign is very fitting given the name of the elementary school our children go to (or have gone to)
