My grandmothers real jade necklace. Brown and green jade. Hand carved. On the brown colored area is a bat. The word bat in Chinese is pronounced “fook” which is the same pronunciation as prosperity. And so it became a representation for happiness and longevity. There is also a big coin on the bottom of the coin. Which represents wealth and luck. On the back you’ll see a smaller coin.
The Chinese culture considers jade to be a lucky stone. Jade symbolizes prosperity, success, and good luck. It is also a symbol of renewal, longevity, and immortality.
