There is a real counterweight and anti-skate system, which is quite nice. Means you can change up for a heavier or lighter cartridge. The preinstalled cartridge is supposed to run at 2.5g, but can be set to a bit heavier if prefered
The platter is metal, but the plinth appears to be either plastic or melamine. Both have decent weight to them; but good construction
The built-in preamp in case you don't have a phone input it can be turned off if not needed
This surprised me: the turnable is set on conical, spring-loaded vibration isolation feet. The springs are tuned to float the table great for a low budget turntable
