Compared to the latest looms that focus on production efficiency, the denim woven on old-fashioned shuttle looms is narrower and the weaving speed is considerably slower. However, the denim slowly woven on old-fashioned shuttle looms has a unique unevenness, which creates a natural unevenness and a bulging expression. Furthermore, the weft of this denim is blended with Hakushu cotton, a rare domestic Japanese cotton that has been cultivated since the Edo period, resulting in a finish that is more elastic than usual.
In addition, the selvedge, which is applied to the edge of the fabric to prevent fraying, uses the same rainbow-colored selvedge as the 359BF model, Edwin's first domestically produced jeans released in 1963.
