McMarten Tartan, a mythological pattern said to be first manufactured in the 17th Century in Wollaston, the town of original factory. The boots are finished with signature air-cushioned sole, yellow welt stitching and AirWair heel loop. Born on 1/4/60. Named the 1460. Over six decades, our 8-eye boot has become iconic. Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with signature welt stitch. Built with core Dr. Martens DNA: grooved edges, an AirWair heel loop and visible welt stitching. Goodyear Welted - the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
