BreakAway Adjustable Crimps aka Davis Crimps are a classic crimping sleeve plus tapered pieces of pre-formed rubber. Push tapered-end of rubber through the crimp to the shoulder and cut off surplus. Insert monofilament line up to 80 lb-test and slide into position then lightly crimp to desired friction. By adjusting the amount you crimp will determine how the crimped sleeve is able to slide. This does not damage the line and allows hook changes without new leader lengths thus prolonging the life of rigs.
